Opća gimnazija implies that students will acquire general knowledge and skills from general education subjects, train for logical and creative thinking and independent learning. In this way, high school education directs students to continue their education at a higher level (faculties) in any direction.
Upbringing and education in the gymnasium has its own educational dimensions, as well as individual and social aspects, such as: realization of personality, acquisition of knowledge, development of individual skills, abilities and sensibilities, affirmation of social values, and development of culture and civilization.
