At our school Maarif International Schools Sarajevo, we proudly organize artistic and creative workshops under the patronage of the City of Konya from Turkiye. These workshops provide an exceptional opportunity for personal development, creative expression and learning new skills, and are especially aimed at the older population, namely women.
Free training and materials
Thanks to the patronage of the City of Konya, all training, as well as the necessary materials, are completely free for our participants. The workshops are designed to encourage the development of creativity and artistic skills, offering participants the opportunity to become familiar with different techniques and methods. Through these activities, participants not only learn new skills but also connect with others, creating a community and support among themselves.
Diverse courses and techniques
The workshop program includes a wide range of creative activities that encompass various techniques and artistic expressions. Some of the workshops we offer include:
felting – a technique for creating fabrics from wool, ideal for making fashion and decorative items
knitting – a traditional technique for creating clothing and decorating from wool
filography – the art of shaping lines from wires used to create beautiful images and patterns
garment making – a course in making clothes and fashion accessories
decoration – creative making of ornaments and decorations for various occasions
silk painting – the art of painting on silk fabrics using special techniques
wood painting – the creative process of painting on wooden surfaces to create unique pieces
foil embossing – a technique for creating relief shapes on metal foil
cardboard embossing – the art of creating three-dimensional shapes on cardboard
Exhibitions and joint activities
One of the most special aspects of our workshops are the exhibitions organized by the participants themselves, together with their educators. These exhibitions represent the final works, but also a celebration of joint effort and creativity. Every exhibition is an opportunity to show personal work, but also to appreciate the work of other members of the community.
